About the Sicilian Rouge
The king of cooking tomatoes.
Our Sicilian Rouge tomato contains a particularly high amount of skin-beautifying ingredients like lycopene and proline, even when you compare it to other variations in our Mauro’s Mediterranean Tomatoes collection. In addition, this tomato type contains a large amount of glutamic acid (a flavor ingredient which is an element of umami), characterized by a moderate acidic taste. Just fry in salt and olive oil to enjoy authentic Italian food.
